I am August Colburn. I am a creative writer with a focus on poetry and short stories. The focus of my work is to inspire strong emotional response and relatability for my readers. I have a background in both business and writing. I use these skillsets in tandem to effectively communicate my message to my target audience.

About Me

I am a creative writer with business background. I graduated from Roger Williams University in 2019 with a major in Business Management and a core concentration in Professional and Public Writing. Connecting with people and working alongside them is a strong suit of mine, so the business side of things came naturally to me. But, I always knew that writing was my true outlet. I became more passionate about writing as college progressed, and graduating set in stone that I wanted to pursue writing full time. Now, my goal is to convey emotion to people by helping them see beauty in the small moments of life through my writing.
